Back in April 2016, as part of the Jobsplus restructuring plan, the Ministry for Education and
Employment had launched a public consultation document concerning changes proposed in the Employment and Training Services Act which regulates Malta’s public employment service.
In an effort to act as a better deterrent to undeclared work, the consultation document proposed a number of amendments to fines payable by employers found guilty of employing individuals, who are not in possession of the required documents and hence not conforming with official procedures.
Now that the new Act has entered into force, MEA organised an information session whereby Top officials from Jobsplus delivered relevant information. During this event, attendees were updated on the changes which have taken place.
