Instruction - Identity:
The University Department that has supplied the Greek economy with the most executives is no more than the Department of Organization and Business Administration of the Athens University of Economics. It is the oldest Department of Business Organization and Administration in the country. Its establishment coincides with the establishment of ASAE. However, the Degree granted by ASAE UNTIL 1984 was uniform. A clear distinction between Economics and Commercial Sciences takes place for the first time in 1955. With DP 313/84 the two Departments are fully independent and since then separate Degrees in Economics and Business Organization and Administration have been awarded. The aim of the Department is the proper education of students in modern scientific, research and applied requirements regarding the Science of Business Organization and Management.
This Department has the highest recognition in the labour market of its kind, is first in the preferences of prospective students among the respective Departments of the other Universities of the country and its graduates are admitted for the continuation of their studies in internationally recognized Universities abroad. In 1985 the first organized Postgraduate Program in business organization and administration in Greece operates.
