pan-European hackathon

The European Commission, in close collaboration with EU member states, will be hosting a pan-European hackathon to connect civil society, innovators, partners and buyers across Europe to develop innovative solutions to overcome coronavirus-related challenges.

The #EUvsVirus Hackathon will take place on 24, 25 and 26 April and address approximately 20 imminent coronavirus challenges (e.g. fast production of equipment, scaling up production capabilities, knowledge and solutions transfer from one country to another), to be quickly developed and deployed across the EU Single Market.

All 27 EU Member States are taking part as well as Norway, Israel, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom. The Malta Council for Science & Technology and Malta Enterprise are co-collaborating from Malta's side. The winning solutions will be invited to join a European Innovation Council Platform that will facilitate connections with end users (e.g. hospitals) and provide access to investors, foundations and other funding opportunities from across the European Commission.

Can you hack it? Register now on the EUvsVirus Hackathon website to be part of the solution!
