Agenzija Sapport presented its Strategic Operational Plan for 2022-2026 during a meeting with representatives from various stakeholders including the Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability, representatives from the Disability Office within the Ministry for Inclusion, Social Wellbeing and Voluntary Organisations, non-governmental organisations, associations and other entities from the social sector.
This plan was created following a study in which the public was asked what they know about and what they expect from the Agency following the first 5 years since the Agency became an autonomous agency, as well as an internal audit on the management of its services and resources.
The plan is spread over 5 years and is divided into four main pillars:
- Operational Objectives
- Support Objectives
- Governance and Accountability Objectives
- Marketing & Communications Objectives
These pillars are further translated into 13 objections, to be implemented through 65 actions over the next 5 years.
The Agency’s new strategic operational plan is aligned with the National Strategy on the Rights of Disabled Persons and the Strategy for Public Service. It’s focus is on the provision of quality services based on set standards and development of efficient and sustainable services based on research and evidence.
These actions are all aimed at bringing the Agency forward to its vision, one that remains at the forefront of providing services to people with disabilities and their families, leads to improvements and changes, continues to help in order to further remove barriers and increase the inclusion of people with disabilities, as well as to promote the person's ability and not disability.
