On the 30th?of November 2022, the Chamber of Engineers (CoE) and Malta Enterprise signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will support Malta Enterprise in fulfilling its mission of attracting foreign investments and the CoE in promoting the interests of engineering professionals working in Malta by promoting high-level vacancies and opportunities amongst the engineering professionals.
The signing took place between Ing. Malcolm Zammit,?President of the Chamber of Engineers and?Mr Kurt Farrugia,?Chief Executive Officer?of?Malta Enterprise.?Through this collaboration engineering professionals will be exposed to opportunities that can augment their careers in industrial segments where technical competence is a highly valued asset. This collaboration further cements the role of the Chamber as an organisation promoting the engineering profession at the highest levels.
Malta Enterprise is the country’s economic development agency, tasked with attracting new foreign direct investment as well as facilitating the growth of existing operations. Furthermore, it acts as an adviser to government on economic policy due to its close and constant interaction with the main economic players in the country. Malta Enterprise is also the national contact point for the Enterprise Europe Network through which companies based in Malta can develop links with counterparts in over 60 other countries.
The Chamber of Engineers is a voluntary organisation representing Engineers in Malta and caters for the safeguarding and advancement of the engineering profession. The CoE provides a voice to engineers through various local and international representations and works towards the continuing development of its members and the profession through various initiatives including networking, training, events and?other professional development opportunities.
