Single Permit Applicants seeking to work in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry

As from the 28th May applicants for a Single Permit to work in the tourism and hospitality sector started to submit a Skills Pass issued by the Maltese Institute of Tourism Studies, as part of the supporting documentation with their application.

Applicants who submit their application whilst Still Abroad (outside the Schengen area) must complete Phase 1 of the Skills Pass before starting their application process with Identita and submit this with the rest of the required documentation.  Once Identita processes the application and issues the Approval in Principle letter, the applicant must complete Phase 2 and achieve the full Skills Pass before applying for an entry visa (where applicable) and proceeding to Malta to finalise the single permit application.

New Single Permit applicants must submit the Skills Pass at the application stage, whereas applicants who are changing jobs from a non-hospitality industry to a hospitality industry position, as well as those applying for a change in their designation within the hospitality and tourism industry, must present their Skills Pass during the application process.
